A Better World

I will find a place,

where I can start again,

To forget my past,

and leave the life I lead.

I have become a mess,

I need to leave that behind.

It is time to head down another road, 

and to live my life. 

I will never forget those nights,

we had together.

I will never forget you,

as a friend. 

But you will become a shadow,

in the back of my mind,

to be a better person.

We need to move on,

if we want to live a better life.

Our thoughts and actions,

were so petty,

I rather wish we had died. 

To live in a better world,

and leave each other behind.
