The Red Cellar Door
The red cellar door looked the same as it always had. Tommy, a boy just at the age of six, had always feared that monsters lurked on the other side. His parents were nonbelievers, but Tommy believed that something fowl lurked underneath his parents house and this door was some gateway to a evil demension. One day Tommy was playing with his toys in the living room, just a stones throw away from the cellar door, and Tommy stared at it hoping that one day it would vanish. It was quiet at first but the rapping on the door came as a thunderous chorus of doom and fear. It came from the other side. Whatever was on the other side wanted out and Tommy not sure if it was his overreactive immagination or if it was real. Tommy cleared his throat and asked hello. Tommy didn’t hear a response. He asked hello a second time and there was still no response. Thinking that he was just imagining what he heard he continued to play with his toys. A pounding echoed through the house. Tommy was sure that he didn’t just imagine this and asked hello a third time and this time, he heard whatever was on the other side of the red cellar door speak to him.
